Environment 2011/2012

Project is about learning by heart an existing peace of architecture and reinterpretating it. Reacting on Blur Building embody in studies of different densities of fog that circulate arround and create a facade by its non-transparency.

Reinterpretating fog by rain is based on creating an isolation of human sences. In the case of rain it is more about erasing the existing situation to create spaces divided by dense rainfalls instread of creating completly new situation by high technology like in blur building. Existing sutuation in my case is rainfall. The method of creating the same effect of isolating the human sences is reversed.

The bipyramidal tensegrity construction consists of horisontal platfrorm and vertical tensegrity rods that indicated a feeling of forest. In my case rain become the vertical element and i started to angle tensegrity rods in different directions and slope angles. While finding a form i decided for two platforms of different size that are fixed in between the tenzegrity rods while four of them are columns as well.

The environment as a public space is divided by different densities of rainfall into several spaces with different quaities. lower platform is more for families having picnic and upper platform for joga exercises, relaxing, sleeping and comunications, spaces in the centre for meeting other people.

The environmet causes that one can feel being inside as well as outside, that is very useful for people in india while 5 months monsoon rain.

Dense walls of heavy rain but also sound of rainfall isolates people from outer noise.
