Meshsoup part 1 2010
The city mode behaviour, by mapping and recording its tissue, the urban context and Its often incoherent resolution. The multilayered sequence of research serves as a blueprint in a subsequent process. Blue consists of many layes such as permeability, time activity, balasts, attractors and their influences, water floods,… .
Site of interest isold harbour of Bratislava, called Winter harbour. Its useage is changeing througout the year, that means permebility and especially time activity of the area is changing.
Different combinations of permebilitieshelped us to extract 23 types of densities. By analysing this mixtures we got all types of change depending on which we created 3D diagram of every change where high and gradient of each line means different change.
Placement of our structure comes out of crossections of densities that represent switch between movemet of users and differend useages that we applied.
Our strategy consists of structures that are abe to close and open again depending on activity of Winter harbour that changes. The structure opens when certain places of harbour are disactivated. This offers useing of empty areas allong the Donau river that prolong existing promenade.
