Priority for preception of U-Turn was to knot on the functional and geometric circumstances which which is understud in connection with inhabitable spaces and thir further analysis. The project determines 5 primary groups which characterize factors for the creation and further existence of an inhabitable spaces. Coeherences going out of them refer to each other or separate out and thus solve a problem or instead create one. By permutations of atributes evolves a system that could be applied to existing buildings and by that alted their disposal functionality and shape.
Project introduces application of principals on a part of comunity houses in Petrzalka as typical example of mass development in 80’s.
It is situated in Bratislava city region called Kramare. U-turn of Petrzalka house is based on diversity of flats and terraces integrated into a residental building. There are 16 flats (from one-room up to 4-room flat) and 3 terraces. Area of separate flats is between 30 – 90 m². Whole residence has 1035 m² of inhabitable space and 120 m² area of terraces.
